Fitment is based on the original factory configuration. Modified motorcycles may require additional adjustments.

⚠ Passenger seat installation

The rear fender is manufactured in fiberglass. Fiberglass alone is not designed or recommended to support a passenger seat or the weight of a passenger.

Passenger-seat use may be possible when a properly engineered steel reinforcement structure is installed underneath the rear fender. The steel support must carry the full load of the seat and passenger independently, without transferring the weight directly to the fiberglass.

The reinforcement must be securely attached to appropriate structural mounting points on the motorcycle. It must not rely on the fiberglass component as its primary support.

Any steel reinforcement, structural adaptation or passenger-seat installation must be designed, evaluated and installed by a qualified motorcycle fabrication professional. SimonKustom does not recommend carrying a passenger when the seat is supported directly by the fiberglass rear fender.

Does the Tank Cover replace the original fuel tank?

No. The Tank Cover is installed over the motorcycle’s original factory fuel tank. The original tank remains in place.

Can I install a passenger seat on the rear fender?

Not directly on the fiberglass. Passenger-seat use may be possible only when an appropriately engineered steel support structure is installed underneath the rear fender. The reinforcement must support the seat and passenger independently from the fiberglass and must be installed by a qualified professional.

Is the steel reinforcement included?

No. Any steel reinforcement required for passenger-seat use must be designed and manufactured separately according to the motorcycle, seat configuration and intended load.

Does the rear fender require adjustment?

Minor adjustments may be required depending on the model, year and configuration of the motorcycle. Professional installation is recommended.

Which gas cap should I use?

We recommend using the motorcycle’s original factory gas cap. Some aftermarket flush or pop-up caps may also be compatible, depending on their dimensions and design.

Does the product require polishing after delivery?

The components are shipped pre-polished. A light final polish after unpacking may help remove minor transportation marks and restore the maximum gloss of the finish.

Confirm your motorcycle model and configuration before ordering. Compatibility is based on the original factory motorcycle. Custom parts, modified frames, aftermarket tanks, altered suspension or other changes may affect installation.

The rear fender is not structurally designed to support passenger weight by itself. Never install a passenger seat directly onto unsupported fiberglass.
